Lakes Entrance Ferryman’s and Myer Street Jetties for Trevally biting on white bait. Up past the footbridge towards the golf club for King Fish. North Arm for Garfish on worm. Bunga Beach for Salmon. Offshore at Six Mile Reef for “Pinkies” on squid and pilchard. Blue Fin and Big Eye Tuna are out wide with squid as preferred bait. |
Lake Tyers Up past the island and heading up the Nowa Nowa Arm for Bream taking prawn. Also try Long Point and Crystal Bay for Bream. Some Flathead are about taking prawn. For the brave, good size Bream are being caught at night around 7pm - 11pm on prawn. |
Mitchell River Eastwood and back waters for Tailor from “the cut” up passed grassy banks to Shadoof Lodge for Bream on spider crab and small pieces of prawn. |
Tambo River The Cliffs are producing Tailor and Flathead, taking prawn. Bream are a bit quiet at the moment. |
Nicholson Both the Highway and Railway bridges are best spots for Bream taking prawn as preferred bait. |
Metung Best spot for fishing at the moment is at the Nungurner jetty area for Perch taking vibes and lures. |
Paynesville Bream are in the northern end of The Strait, best bait being worm. Plenty of Mullet about also taking worm as preferred bait. Tailor are also about, trolling with lures for best results. |
Holland's Landing The best spots for Bream and Mullet are “the wood pile”, The Straits and Tom’s Creek. For best results use worm, prawn, cut pilchards and white bait. |
