Fire and Flood
In 2009 a group of Islanders launched the artist book Fire and Flood 2006-7, recording life of the Island's 'captured community' during a year of natural disaster.
Animals
Residents and visitors alike love the daily opportunities share with the native animals that found on the Island or in the Gippsland Lakes.
Birds and Insects
The Island is home to over 140 bird species. They live in the woodlands, on the foreshore and sometimes are migratory visitors from the northern hemisphere.
Landscapes and Seascapes
From eerie, silent mornings when the sea fog is so thick that the mainland can't be seen from the ferry, to spectacular sunsets across the Lakes - these are the images that show Raymond Island's natural beauty.
Wildflowers
Habitat areas on Raymond Island are formed by the: Manna Gum, Mahogany Gum and Banksia woodlands; open heath and grasslands with their myriad wildflowers in spring; wetlands; and the foreshores and Lake waters.
